In the Margins
a meta solo journaling game of marginalia
You found a journal and you have opinions. Make your mark.
In the Margins is a solo journaling game in which you play someone who found a mysterious journal and is leaving their comments in the margins of the journal.
What you need to play:
- a written journal, preferably one produced by a solo journaling game (non fiction or autobiographical fiction might work as well)
- pen, pencil, markers or anything else to
defaceannotate the journal - a d6
The pdf contains the front and back for a bookmark the size of an A5 paper cut in half length wise. For accessibility I've also added a Markdown version of the game.
In the Margins was made for the Scissors and Glue Jam #2 using dry transfer letters, cutting and pasting the typed rules & annotating it with a red marker. Also check out the other great entries!

this is so sick I can't wait to play it once my Her Odyssey game is done. I am writing it as personal journal entries from my player character and it is getting quite juicy. I have filled up about half of my pocket notebook now
